I won't comment on Risk as I have no interest in the game, however, in the brief period that I had spent sampling it, I hadn't experienced any issues.ĭocking three stars for the fact that all three games require a day one patch, with the most aggravating offender being Monopoly, which had a 1.4 patch available even before the release of this package. These updates also consume quite a bit of space (relative to the size of the games) which should have been on the cartridge itself.

Version 1.0 also has a bug which can cause the game to not start up correctly, so you would think that Ubisoft would have a modicum of common sense and include the most recent update. Unfortunately, the geniuses at Ubisoft have included Version 1.0 on the cartridge, and not the most recent 1.4 patch (which was also the most current version at the time of the release of the Hasbro Game Night package). Monopoly is identical to what had been released a year prior as a separate release. The highlight of the package is easily Trivial Pursuit Live, and I have put over 10 hours into it and have yet to come across any repeat questions. That issue aside (that can be worked around by setting the console to flight mode) the games on offer are solid, though I am annoyed that they hadn't also included Boggle, which was included in the Hasbro Game Night collections on other consoles. The bad news? Ubisoft's multiplayer games have a tendency to make the Wi-Fi connection at home go haywire on Switch, especially Trivial Pursuit (as well as their NA exclusives, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy). Each game spawns their own icon on the Switch home menu screen and can each be accessed separately. The good news is that you get three games in a single package. Select family questions, and everyone can join in as they all stand an equal chance of showing off their knowledge! Team up with a friend to challenge opponents together in Versus mode. With original question formats and round types, this game just added layers of fun.
